Under 11 hurlers doing well   14/03/2017

Following the recent inclement weather it was great to see the U11's line out for their first home hurling encounter of the season with the visit of Thomas Davis to Sandyford on Saturday morning.  All three teams took to the field to show off their well honed hurling skills following their winter training.  Team 1 put on a spirited performance against a strong first team from Davis's.  With their midfield pairing dominating and providing the forward line with excellent ball to play off, the game ended in a loss for the home side ending 0:3 to 0:8.  Team 2, after a slow start, quickly gained their rhythm and took charge of the game with strong performances across the field and they went on to win the game on a scoreline of 7:3 to 0:1. Team 3 were also in top notch form and staked their claim on the match from the off with some early goals.  This forced the visitors to play catch up but, adding some fine points to their tally, the home team went on to win the game by 5:2 to 2:0. Great performances from all the Naomh Olaf boys.  Well done. Next week the boys return to Gaelic football making the short trip to Ballycullen to take on Ballyboden St. Enda's.  Maith sibh a bhuachaillí!!!
